Piano Buying Advice!                                                                                                                                                                      The purchase of a piano is both wonderful for the pianist and student alike,  and also a focal point and furniture piece for all.  It is important to know and understand what it is you areinvesting in. For example how it is strung, is it iron frame/wooden frame, and what standard the action is upto. There are so many potential pitfalls in buying a used piano privately that it is highly reccomended to have an expert access any potential piano purchase. If you have any doubts about a piano you are considering just pick up the phone and talk to Paul or David. History of the Piano

Although there were various crude earlier attempts to make stringed keyboard instruments with struck strings,  it is widely considered that the piano was invented by a single individual: Bartolomeo Cristofori of Padua, Italy. It is not known exactly when Cristofori first built a piano, but an inventory made by his employers, the Medici family, indicates the existence of a piano by the year 1700. The three Cristofori pianos that survive today date from the 1720s.
